Dr. Lisa Brown grew up on the Navajo Indian Reservation where she experienced difficult times, including bullying, homelessness, and low self-worth as a young woman. Dr. Brown had faced one of the most difficult battles of her life after becoming a new mom—postpartum depression. She found an anchor in the women’s ministry of her home church in Scottsdale, AZ. It is where she discovered her need for relationship and continual fellowship with a sisterhood of faith. She also attended her home church’s Freedom seminar series which helped her to develop an ear to hear God’s voice, break free from the bondage of her past, and rediscover her Christ identity.
Dr. Brown feels a personal responsibility to “pay it forward”, that is, to encourage women through a support community to be a light and the bridge to connect women to Christ and each other. In February 2017, she founded Praying Moms for Christ. Her calling is to encourage all women that they Heavenly Father who loves them, is with them, and is for them.
Dr. Brown is passionate about coordinating PMC events for the sole purpose of glorifying the name of Jesus and expanding the kingdom of God. She desires that all women may know and serve Jesus Christ, and collectively seek to live Christ-centered lives praying always without ceasing. She strongly believes that we all have a calling to fulfill for His purpose. She sees herself as a vessel, and she loves serving others through PMC.
Dr. Brown will be joining us for the prayer breakfast panel on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 8:30 AM – 10:15 AM.
