Founder, Praying Moms for Christ - Frisco, TX | Praying Moms for Christ - Frisco, TX
Dr. Lisa Brown is the Founder of Praying Moms for Christ. She grew up on the Navajo Indian Reservation where she had experienced difficult times, including bullying, homelessness, and low self-esteem. She gave her life to Jesus at age 9 at a youth camp. As a new mom, she dealt with severe postpartum depression but God faithfully stood by her, and led her to connect with other women of the faith. God completely healed her from depression and wounds of the past. In 2016, she attended Freedom Retreat at Dream City Church in Phoenix, AZ where she received a breakthrough in hearing God’s voice and rediscovering her authority in Christ. Dr. Brown is on a mission to be a light and a bridge, for all women, to draw closer to Jesus and with each other in a prayer/faith community.
Dr. Brown chose to set aside her career to raise her son full-time and focus on ministry. She took a step of faith and began organizing events in her local community and hometown of Gallup, NM. Since February 2017, the PMC online community has grown to 730 social media followers and 240 private group members. Past projects are Deeply Loved Nights of Worship for Moms, a Stay Strong Saturday workout and devotion, Fellowship Cafe Nights, and the first annual Undefeated Women’s Conference. She desires to start a clothing line and plan events in Chicago, Phoenix, and Albuquerque in the near future.
